BMW kidney with mesh design.
The mesh design of the BMW kidney, which varies depending on the engine, contributes to the dynamic appearance. The basic model has a high-gloss black mesh grille, the Sport Line and M Sport package are made of matt aluminium, each with a kidney frame in chrome. The BMW kidney of the top model M40i is completely in Cerium Grey.
Air Breather.
Together with the air curtain in the front apron, the air breather positioned behind the front wheel arches significantly reduces air turbulence in the wheel arches and targeted channelling of the airflow – thus reducing drag. At the same time, they underline the athletic character of the vehicle as a decorative element.
Softtop.
The Black Softtop blends harmoniously into the dynamic lines of the vehicle. At the push of a button, it opens and closes electrically in approximaltey ten seconds, even while driving at speeds of up to 50 km/h. One of the outstanding properties of this extremely high-quality softtop is its excellent noise insulation.
M high-gloss Shadow Line.
M high-gloss Shadow Line with extended contents includes equipment features in black: kidney frame and BMW kidney in mesh design in black high-gloss and tailpipes in black chrome.
Exhaust tailpipes.
Round high-gloss chrome exhaust tailpipes on the right and left of the rear enhance the vehicle's sporty appearance.
M Sport seats for driver and front passenger.
The M Sport seats with integrated headrests, deep sitting surface and high side and backrest bolsters offer the driver and front passenger improved support, even in fast turns. In addition, the driver's seat and, depending on the equipment, the front passenger seat can be adjusted to your individual body dimensions thanks to the integrated backrest width adjustment.
Ambient Light.
Ambient light creates a relaxed, cosy lighting atmosphere in the interior. There are eleven predefined light designs available in six different colours, with contour and ambient lighting on the instrument panel, door trim and centre console.
Harman Kardon Surround Sound System.
The outstanding Harman Kardon Surround Sound System features a 408-watt digital amplifier, seven channels and twelve speakers. Its sophisticated sound perfectly fills the interior space. Vehicle-specific, speed-dependent equalising precisely compensates for any background driving noise.

THE DRIVING DYNAMIC OF THE BMW Z4 ROADSTER.
Defined by sportiness and agility. The BMW Z4 Roadster demonstrates its sporty origins on the road. Thanks to the latest technology, innovative powertrain and drivetrain components, it achieves impressive performance values – and driving dynamics in a class of its own.
M Sport brake.
The M Sport brake has four-piston fixed callipers at the front and single-piston floating callipers at the rear in blue with the M designation and features large brake discs to ensure an outstanding braking performance.

Adaptive M suspension.
The 10 millimetre lowered Adaptive M suspension can be electrically adjusted at any time to suit the road and driving conditions. Drivers can also adjust the suspension characteristics via the Driving Experience Control to enable their preferred driving style at the time – from comfortable to extremely athletic with markedly agile handling.

Variable sport steering.
The Variable sport steering with Servotronic creates a direct and agile steering response and ensures that less physical effort is required to turn the wheel. It reacts to the angle of the steering wheel with varying steering ratios. This improves handling when driving more dynamically and reduces the effort needed to steer when parking and turning.
Steptronic Sport transmission.
The 8-speed Steptronic Sport transmission with Launch Control allows sporty gear changes both automatically and manually via selector lever or paddle shifters – for comfortable gliding or a dynamic driving style. In SPORT or SPORT+ mode and with the gear lever in the left-hand S/M position, the gear shifts are configured for maximum performance.
Inline 4-cylinder petrol engine.
Commanding power, silky-smooth running and a stirring sound are the hallmarks of the M TwinPower Turbo inline 6-cylinder petrol engine from the new generation of the BMW EfficientDynamics engine range. With Double-VANOS, Valvetronic, High-Precision Injection and a TwinScroll turbocharger, it is particularly powerful and efficient.
THE DRIVER ASSISTANCE SYSTEMS OF THE BMW Z4 ROADSTER.
The BMW Z4 Roadster offers its driver a large number of intelligent assistance systems. From the Parking assistant through to the personal voice assistant, the innovative technologies increase comfort and safety during the journey. At the same time, they also enable partially autonomous driving, according to the situation.
Driving Assistant.
The safety package Driving Assistant includes the camera-based systems front collision warning with braking function, Speed Limit Assist incl. Speed Limit Info with No-overtaking indicator with preview and Lane Departure Warning. Additionally, the radar-based equipment includes Crossing traffic warning rear, Lane Change Warning and Rear collision warning.
Parking assistant.
The Parking assistant parks the vehicle independently in cross and longitudinal parking spaces as well as out of longitudinal parking spaces. It is accessed via the parking button or by engaging reverse gear. All steering, driving and braking processes are taken over by the system, you only have to monitor the parking process.
BMW Head-Up Display.
The full-colour BMW Head-Up Display projects information relevant to the journey directly into the driver's field of vision, thereby allowing them to fully concentrate on driving. Information such as the current speed and, depending on the equipment, navigation directions, Speed Limit Info including no-overtaking indicator, along with telephone and entertainment lists are displayed.

Active cruise control with Stop&Go function.
Active cruise control with Stop&Go function maintains within a speed range of 30 to 160 km/h a pre-defined distance from the vehicle ahead, including stopping and restarting in stop-and-go traffic. Speed Limit Assist allows the takeover of speed limits in the cruise control. The front collision warning with braking intervention reacts to stationary vehicles, pedestrians and cyclists.
