What is meant by “Bookable functions”?
Bookable functions offer you the opportunity to equip your vehicle over the air with extra functions to match your needs. Depending on the model and equipment, these functions can be booked for a lifetime or activated for a limited period, ranging from one month up to three years. Activation can take place flexibly at any time from the vehicle, via the My BMW App or the BMW ConnectedDrive Store on the Web.
What happens with the functions that are already activated in the vehicle?
All functions already added at the time of purchase continue to be available without any change to the configurations you have selected.
How does activation of the “Bookable functions” take place?
Activation takes place with the purchase via the BMW ConnectedDrive Store. You can call up the store straight from your vehicle, via the My BMW App or on the Web and log in with your BMW ID. You can obtain an overview of the already activated functions via your account.
With which BMW models is it possible to purchase “Bookable functions”?
All vehicles with BMW Operating System 7 or newer are enabled.[1] This currently covers more than 30 BMW models. After logging on with your BMW ID, you can obtain an overview at any time of the already activated functions in the My BMW App or via the BMW ConnectedDrive Store on the Web.
How do I know whether I can use the BMW Remote Software Upgrade?
Whether your vehicle is capable of using the BMW Remote Software Upgrade depends on the hardware that has been installed. Almost all vehicles with BMW Operating System 7 or newer are able to do so. You can easily find out for yourself whether your vehicle belongs to this group. To do this, select the following options in the vehicle menu: “My Vehicle” > “Settings” > “General Settings” > “Remote Software Upgrade”. If “Remote Software Upgrade” is displayed, you can use this function.
Which “Bookable functions” [1] do I get for my vehicle?
In the case of the BMW iX or BMW 7 Series, for instance, you can book the Driving Assistant Plus at a later date, if these functions are not already activated. After logging on with your BMW ID, you can obtain an overview at any time of the already activated functions in the My BMW App or via the BMW ConnectedDrive Store on the Web. What is “BMW Digital Premium”?
BMW Digital Premium is a bundle of additional digital features and connectivity for the BMW Operating System 9. This includes enhanced BMW Maps functions as well as access to an in-car Appstore.[2] BMW Digital Premium is bookable on a monthly basis via the ConnectedDrive Store.
For which BMW models is “BMW Digital Premium” available?
All vehicles with BMW Operating System 9 are enabled. To verify if BMW Digital Premium is available for your car, login with your BMW ID and go to the BMW ConnectedDrive Store either in-car or on the Web. It will provide you an overview at any time of the already activated and available functions.
What is the difference between “Connected Booster” and “BMW Digital Premium”?
Both optional offers provide access to additional digital features. The availability depends on the model and BMW Operating System. To verify which is available for your BMW, go to the BMW ConnectedDrive Store and login with your BMW ID.
Which additional functions do I get for the BMW Intelligent Personal Assistant with a BMW Digital Premium subscription?
With a BMW Digital Premium subscription in your BMW with Operating System 9, the BMW Intelligent Personal Assistant will learn your settings and habits, you can individualise the visualisation and additional icons are available for your search. In addition, you receive proactive suggestions for useful vehicle apps. The basic functions of the BMW Intelligent Personal Assistant are available without a subscription to BMW Digital Premium if Operating System 9 is installed.
Can I also book BMW Digital Premium as a discounted yearly subscription?
Depending on the country of delivery, you can book BMW Digital Premium in selected BMW models with BMW Operating System 9 as a monthly, or a discounted yearly subscription. For more information on the BMW Digital Premium subsrciption, an overview of the services and apps available for you vehicle and validity periods and prices, please refer to the BMW ConnectedDrive Store in the vehicle or on the internet at www.bmw-connecteddrive.com.
Can I test a BMW Digital Premium subscription?
Yes. You can select a free BMW Digital Premium test version for selected BMW models with BMW Operating System 9. The duration of the test version can vary according to the respective country. After logging on with your BMW ID, you will see a notification and can start the testing phase. The BMW Digital Premium test subscription ends automatically.
